“My purpose for RM Gallery is to carry on a legacy that will enrich the arts. The RM Stremel-Mell Scholarship for Art Business Impact scholarship gives us a way to look forward, and to invest in an emerging artist and help carry Ed’s spirit of generosity into the next generation.” -Rose Marie Stremel-Mell, RM Gallery Founder

About RM Gallery

RM Gallery is a Phoenix-based fine art gallery founded by Rose Marie Stremel-Mell with a purpose that extends beyond exhibiting exceptional art: to celebrate artistic influence, preserve meaningful stories, and invest in the future of the arts.

The gallery was inspired in part by the life and legacy of Rose Marie’s late husband, acclaimed Arizona artist Ed Mell. Following his passing, artists and friends began sharing stories of the ways Ed had influenced their work, careers, and lives. Those conversations became the catalyst for something new—a gallery where artistic legacy is not simply remembered, but carried forward through the work and experiences of other artists.

That vision comes to life through thoughtfully curated exhibitions featuring established and distinctive artists whose work reflects individual perspective, craftsmanship, and a connection to the broader story of American art.

Giving back is also central to the gallery’s mission. Rose Marie established the RM Stremel-Mell Scholarship for Art Business Impact, honoring both Ed’s artistic excellence and his understanding of the business of art. Ten percent of each gallery sale is pledged to the scholarship fund, with the first scholarship planned for an art student at Arizona State University’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts beginning in Fall 2027.

RM Gallery is ultimately about what art leaves behind: inspiration, relationships, stories, and opportunities for the next generation. Through exhibitions, artist relationships, collector experiences, and philanthropy, the gallery seeks to create a place where those legacies can continue to grow.
